Southwest Georgia Counties Adopt New Rural Transit Development Plans
A big thank you and congratulations to three Southwest Georgia counties that have recently adopted their new Rural Transit Development Plans (TDPs)!
Lee County adopted its plan on July 14, 2026, followed by Early County on August 3, 2026, and Miller County on August 10, 2026.

These plans will help guide future rural transit services and improvements based on the transportation needs of residents in each community. The completed plans are available on the SWGRC website under each county’s Community Profile.
Seminole & Grady Counties Are Next!
Work will soon begin on Rural Transit Development Plans for Seminole County and Grady County, with Community Input Meetings to be announced soon.
In the meantime, residents can get involved by completing the Community Input Survey. Your feedback is an important part of the planning process and will help identify transportation needs, challenges, and opportunities in your community.
Take the Community Input Survey
Please help us spread the word by sharing the survey with residents, community organizations, local businesses, and others throughout Seminole and Grady counties.
