Georgia DNR Seeks Public Input on Outdoor Recreation Opportunities
The Georgia Department of Natural Resources (Georgia DNR) is seeking public input to help shape the future of outdoor recreation across the state. Residents are encouraged to complete a survey to provide feedback on Georgia’s outdoor recreation resources, needs, and priorities.
The survey will help inform an addendum to Georgia’s 2022–2026 Statewide Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan (SCORP), which serves as a blueprint for maintaining and improving public outdoor recreation opportunities throughout the state.
Survey Open Through October 2, 2026
The SCORP identifies four key priorities for Georgia’s outdoor recreation efforts:
- Conserve Natural Resources: Protect Georgia’s natural resources and encourage environmental stewardship.
- Enhance Economic Vitality: Support outdoor recreation opportunities that attract residents, businesses, and economic development.
- Promote Health, Fitness, and Livability: Encourage active lifestyles and outdoor activities that improve community health and quality of life.
- Improve Awareness, Accessibility, and Inclusion: Ensure outdoor recreation opportunities are accessible to Georgians of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities.
Your Input Matters!
Whether you enjoy visiting local parks, walking trails, fishing, camping, or other outdoor activities, your feedback can help identify opportunities to improve outdoor recreation throughout Georgia.
Residents, community leaders, and outdoor recreation enthusiasts are encouraged to participate.
