The event is hosted through a partnership between the Moultrie-Colquitt County Chamber of Commerce, the University of Georgia Small Business Development Center, Archway Partnership, and the Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning (DECAL).
The free summit is designed to connect aspiring and current childcare providers with the information and resources needed to build successful, sustainable childcare programs. Attendees will hear presentations from experts representing DECAL, the UGA Small Business Development Center, the Child Care Resource and Referral Center, and a local childcare provider.

Topics will include:
- Business planning and startup guidance
- Financing and funding opportunities
- Childcare licensing requirements
- Available support services for providers
- Zoning and legal considerations
- CAPS (Childcare and Parent Services) information
- The Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP)
In addition to presentations, participants will have the opportunity to ask questions during Q&A sessions and visit resource stations to speak directly with professionals about starting, operating, or growing a childcare business. Dinner will be provided, and there is no cost to attend. Those interested are encouraged to RSVP by calling (229) 985-2131 or by scanning the QR code on the event flyer.
As communities across Georgia continue to experience a growing need for quality childcare, events like the Childcare Summit provide valuable connections, practical information, and access to organizations dedicated to helping providers succeed while expanding childcare options for local families.
