Outdoor Recreation Open Forum - Virtual
September 23, 2026 - Wednesday - 1:00 PM
The Georgia Department of Natural Resources (Georgia DNR) is pleased to announce an open forum dedicated to hearing Georgia's publics' opinion on outdoor recreation in the state. This forum will provide an update on the Statewide Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan (SCORP).
The Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF) is authorized to be administered in Georgia through the SCORP document. SCORP takes inventory of Georgia's recreation and conserved land and key needs and demands from Georgia locals. Those key demands and needs were analyzed into The Georgia 2022-2026 SCORP Pillars:
- Conserve Natural Resources
- Economic Vitality
- Health Through Fitness and Livability
- Accessibility and Inclusion
This virtual open forum will provide Georgia locals with the opportunity to share needs, kudos, and concerns for outdoor recreation in Georgia. Information gathered during the forum will be an update to the SCORP pillars. Please come prepared with one to two minutes of information or opinion. Although this forum will not be focused on resolving concerns, still we look forward to hearing from you!
