Mitchell County and Cities Announce Pre-Hazard Mitigation Plan Kick-Off Meeting

Mitchell County and the cities of Camilla, Baconton, Pelham, and Sale City will host a Kick-Off Meeting for the Pre-Hazard Mitigation Plan on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at 10:00 AM. The meeting will take place at the Mitchell County Board of Commissioners Building, 5201 Highway 19 S, Camilla, GA 31730.
This public meeting marks the first step in updating the county’s federally required Pre-Hazard Mitigation Plan—a long-range strategy designed to reduce or eliminate risks to life and property from natural and man-made disasters.
